9 Ways to Stay Occupied At Home
/Hi friends! As most of us are finding ourselves spending more time inside, we’re starting to wonder what to do outside of Netflix. Today I’m sharing 9 things you can do today to occupy time and help you feel ahead of the game.
Read A Book: have you ever found yourself saying, “I wish I had more time to read?” well now you do! Here are some of the books I’ve been loving recently.
Learn A New Skill: each day I strive to learn something new. Whether it’s a new skill, system or way of thinking, i love learning new information. For the last 6 months I’ve been using Skill Share to widen my wheelhouse of skills. We even have our team members taking courses so they can stay up to date on what’s trending and new information in the marketing field.
Make Time to Meditate: okay, I will admit this was a hard one for me to get on board with. But taking some time each morning to be silent and meditate has been amazing for my mental health. Here are a few apps I love using for guided meditation:
Headspace.
Calm.
Insight Timer
Get Your Exercise On: working out releases endorphins and lets be honest, we all need a little extra happiness in our lives! Right now is an amazing time to jump on a 30 day free trial program and start investing in your overall health. Here are some apps to kickstart your movement program:
Peloton
SOS
Daily Burn
Tone it Up
Start a Daily Journal: writing has always been a great outlet for letting go of bottled up emotion, or simply being a place to brain-dump. One of the most amazing things about starting a daily journal, is you’ll have something to look back on and see how much your journey has changed. If you struggle with anxiety, journaling has been a great way for me to personally get mine under control.
Take on Some Home Improvement: If you’ve been neglecting your home, now is the perfect time to give it some TLC. Consider a fresh coat of paint in the living room, organize that drawer you’ve been avoiding for months. After all, there’s no place like home.
Organize Your Space: ugh I can not believe I am even writing this, but there really is nothing better than taking some time to organize that drawer or corner of your closet that’s been screaming at you for the last 6 months.
Get Things Cooking in the Kitchen: cooking has always been such a fun and enjoyable hobby of mine! But as I spent more time inside of LGS, I found myself dreading cooking. Use this extra time to try a new recipe! Here are some great apps packed with recipes:
Yummly
