Practicing Positivity

Hey ladies! Let’s talk about the one thing that we are all trying to hack and get ahead on: positive mornings. Something I believe is crucial for a productive and positive day is your morning routine. Things have been feeling kind of out of sorts recently due to everything that is happening in the world. But if there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that having a morning routine helps me jumpstart my day and be the best version I can be. Which is why I’m spilling all the details on how I kick off each day.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MORNING ROUTINE

Each day starts out the exact same way, and if it doesn’t then I go into full blown sloth mode.

Part of my morning routine, is to completely focus on setting the tone for the day. Which means, no checking emails first thing in the morning. It’s no secret that I love Instagram, but limiting the amount of content I consume first thing is so important. Something I’m having to remind myself daily, is that the world will not end, because I didn’t send an email reply at 6am.

A clear mind allows for a clear goal.

I’ve always hated working out in the morning, especially running. But every time I lace up my shoes and go outside to run, a lightbulb moment happens. I’ve had the clearest thoughts, ideas and solved more “problems” running, then I ever did sitting at my desk. After my morning workout, it’s time to jump on into reading and journaling. Dedicating 20-30 minutes each morning to invest in my mindset has been one of the biggest factors in staying sharp. Once the day kicks off, just like you I’m being pulled in so many directions. Whether it’s client calls or building out new products for our clients, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of “going, going, going.” I’ve learned over the last couple of years that in order to be my best self for everyone around me, I have to invest in myself.

Start your day off with intention and positivity. Instead of rushing around like a chicken with it’s head cut off.

The last piece of advice I can give you, set a morning routine that works for you. If waking up at 6am is not your cup of tea, I completely get it! Start by setting your alarm back 15mins each night. Before you know it, you won’t even remember a time you slept past 7am! At the end of the day, the goal is to create a routine that you can commit to. Because you’re the only one who’s going to know if you don’t.

I want to encourage you all to make a conscious effort to be more positive throughout the day. Positive with your thoughts, your actions and how you interact in conflict.
