Pinterest is powerful and can be really confusing at first glance. It’s easy to become overwhelmed with all of the pin options, boards and the overall interface of the site. Once mastered, Pinterest can truly transform your business and has potential to bring in 10x your current revenue.

There’s power behind using Pinterest to drive traffic to your blog. Just take a look at these astounding facts:

Before we go any further, I want to address a common misconception. Pinterest is a search engine not a social media platform.

HOW TO USE PINTEREST TO GROW YOUR BLOG

One of the easiest things to overlook is your Pinterest bio. Do not, I repeat do not, leave this empty. There are too many horror stories from fellow bloggers who missed opportunities to work on large collaborations, simply due to a blank bio. The inability for a brand to easily find your contact information could make or break a new project. Even your bio ends up containing one catchy phrase or quick blurb about yourself, just be sure the quickest way to contact your is listed. We don’t want your first pin going viral and miss out on opportunities because your contact information wasn’t readily available!

There are a lot of different ways to grow your Pinterest monthly views. The most popular route is using Tailwind to schedule your pins for the upcoming month, or hiring a Pinterest manager. While I loved using Tailwind in the past, I found it really time consuming and overall less profitable. Pinterest managers are great but the on-boarding process can be tedious and there is still that window of error that can exist when the work falls on one person.

HOW PINTEREST CAN HELP YOU 3X YOUR COLLABORATION RATE

When was the last time you’ve heard the words: “blogs are dead.” I recently received a comment on an Instagram post from someone saying that had no idea blogs were still around. Google ranking is the reason that people are unaware that cool, innovative bloggers are still around. For the first time in 2 years of blogging, my website is finally showing up on the first page of Google. I did not pay for Google AD Words, I did not shell out hundreds in Facebook ads. I simply utilized Pinterest.

Which brings me to why you all clicked on this post today. Thanks to the growth I have seen using Pinterest, I was able to land my largest collaboration to date. Tripling my usual rate, and leaving me completely speechless. Brands understand that blogs are not dead, they just need analytics to show why YOUR blog stands out from the rest.

Here is what I was able to share that led me to landing my largest collaboration:

  • My website is growing, and is projected to 3x the website traffic month over month.

  • My Pinterest account is powerful. I am able to leverage a Pinterest collaboration because I have the analytics to back up the worth.

  • Sharing with a brand the value I am able to provide not only through the traditional Instagram collaboration, but through my website and creating specialized Pinterest content that lives for an entire year.

Pinterest does not need to be a time consuming and confusing platform.
